UNIMAID 2026 Hostel Booking Schedule Released: Key Dates and Payment Deadline
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially released the timetable for the 2026 hostel accommodation process, covering both new and returning students. The announcement comes from the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs, led by Professor Ahmadu M. Brono, in a notice dated January 12, 2026.
Students seeking campus housing are urged to adhere strictly to the schedule, as missing any step may result in losing a hostel space.
Key Dates for UNIMAID Hostel Booking 2026
- Collect Hostel PINs: Student PINs, required for booking and payment, will be available at the designated Microfinance Bank starting Thursday, January 15, 2026. Some students refer to these as “PIN slips” or “PIN codes,” but they serve the same purpose.
- Hostels Open for Occupation: University hostels will be ready for student occupation on Monday, January 26, 2026.
- Booking and Payment Period: Students can book and pay for hostel rooms between January 26 and February 9, 2026. Both booking and payment must be completed during this window.
- Payment Deadline: UNIMAID has emphasized that any booking not fully paid by end of day February 9, 2026 will be automatically revoked. Early booking alone does not secure a room without payment.
