The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially announced the schedule and guidelines for its 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony, marking the formal induction of newly admitted students into the university community.

The ceremony, which follows the institution’s approved academic calendar, is a compulsory academic exercise for all fresh students. University authorities have urged candidates to strictly adhere to the stated arrangements to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated event.


UNILORIN 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony: Full Details

According to the notice released by the university, the matriculation ceremony has been scheduled as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 16 December 2025
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. prompt
  • Venue: Multipurpose Hall (MPH), University of Ilorin

Fresh students are required to be fully seated no later than 10:30 a.m. to avoid disruption during the ceremony.

Early Arrival Strongly Advised

UNILORIN management has advised matriculating students to leave their homes as early as 6:00 a.m., as the official academic procession will commence by 6:30 a.m.

Students should note that:

  • Entry into the Multipurpose Hall will be strictly controlled
  • Once the hall reaches full capacity, no further entry will be allowed
  • Late arrival may result in students being unable to participate in the ceremony
