UNILAG Opens 2025 JUPEB Admission: Gain Direct Entry into 200-Level in Nigeria or Abroad
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially opened applications for its 2025 School of Foundation Studies, giving students a fast-track opportunity to gain admission into 200-level in UNILAG or partner universities in the UK, Scotland, and China through the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).
This one-year academic programme is designed for students who want to bypass the traditional UTME route and enter directly into second-year university programmes — either in Nigeria or abroad.
What You Should Know
UNILAG’s Foundation Programme offers a non-residential learning experience and is not suitable for visually impaired students. Admission is strictly based on performance in the JUPEB entrance exam.
Successful candidates will be considered for Direct Entry admission into UNILAG or any of the 12 international partner universities.

Subject Combinations
UNILAG offers a wide range of subject combinations tailored to suit various fields of study in Arts, Social Sciences, Management, and Sciences.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 5 credits at one sitting in WAEC, NECO, or GCE
- Include English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects
- Upload results before completing registration
How to Apply
Follow these steps:
- Visit: applications.unilag.edu.ng
- Select School of Foundation Studies
- Fill the pre-application form to receive a Payment Reference Number (PRN)
- Pay ₦35,000 (excluding bank charges) at any commercial bank using the PRN
- Log back in with your PRN and surname (in lowercase) to complete the application
- Print two copies of your completed form
- Your exam pass will be emailed to you a week before the test — print and bring it along
