General Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission into the UNILAG DLI, applicants must meet the following conditions:
O’Level Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
- Acceptable results: SSCE, GCE, or NECO
- Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings
Direct Entry (Year Two Admission)
Applicants must possess any of the following in relevant fields:
- NCE
- ND (minimum of Lower Credit)
- JUPEB or IJMB
- GCE A’ Level
Direct Entry (Year Three Admission)
Applicants must have:
- HND (minimum of Lower Credit), or
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Third Class), and
- Proof of NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion
Professional Qualifications Accepted
Candidates with recognised professional certifications may apply for Year Three entry, including:
- ICAN, ACA, ACCA, ANAN
- ACIB, CIBN, CII
- ACMA, ACIS, ANACIA

- Awaiting results candidates are NOT eligible
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old by 31 October 2025

The application process is completed in two stages:
Stage One: JAMB Registration
- Visit the JAMB CAPS platform
- Complete the registration process
- Pay ₦3,500
- Obtain your JAMB registration number
Stage Two: UNILAG DLI Application
- Visit the UNILAG application portal:

- Select Distance Learning Institute (DLI) as application type
- Enter your personal details, including:
- JAMB registration number
- Phone number
- Email address
- Click Pay Now and pay the ₦20,000 application fee online

Print the Remita slip and pay at any commercial bank - Return to the portal and click Continue Application
- Log in using:
- Payment reference number
- Surname (in lowercase) as password
- Complete the form and upload required documents
- Submit the application and print a copy for reference
