According to a circular signed by the Registrar, Richmond Omagbemi (Esq.), the ceremony will commence with an academic procession at 9:00 a.m., marking a significant milestone for fresh students joining the university for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The event serves as a formal welcome into the UNIDEL community. Attendance is strictly reserved for students who have completed registration and are officially recognised as bona fide UNIDEL students. Members of the Senate and Congregation are expected to participate in the academic procession in their full academic regalia.

Guidelines for Students and Faculty

Faculty officers have been directed to collect academic gowns from the Central Stores starting Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at 12 noon. They are also tasked with supervising the gown distribution and ensuring that all students maintain proper decorum throughout the ceremony.

Students are reminded to uphold UNIDEL’s core values through exemplary behaviour, appearance, and conduct. Any action that may tarnish the university’s public image will attract disciplinary measures, as outlined in the institution’s regulations.

Conduct and Responsibility

The university management has urged all attendees to treat the matriculation with respect and seriousness. Fresh students are encouraged to view the ceremony as a rite of passage into academic life, emphasizing discipline, dedication, and moral responsibility. Members of staff and the broader university community are called upon to support and guide the new students as they embark on their academic journey.

University Management Message

In a closing statement, UNIDEL’s management wished the university community a successful and memorable matriculation ceremony. The institution reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and moral integrity, welcoming a new cohort of students into its expanding academic family.
