UNICAL Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Registration

Are you aiming for admission into the University of Calabar (UNICAL) for the 2025/2026 academic session? Good news — the university has officially opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration.

If UNICAL was your first choice in the 2025 UTME, or you’re considering switching to it, now is the time to act. But don’t wait till the last minute — the application portal closes on Monday, August 4, 2025, by midnight.

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for the screening, you must meet one of the following:

• You selected UNICAL as your first choice and scored at least 150 in the 2025 UTME.
• You scored 150 or above in UTME and wish to apply to UNICAL — just change your institution to UNICAL on the JAMB portal before applying.

Important Note for Medicine & Dentistry Aspirants:
Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery or Dentistry must present O’Level results from only one sitting. Two sittings will not be accepted.

How to Pay and Register

The registration fee is ₦2,000 (non-refundable). You can pay and register using either of the following methods:

Option 1: E-Transact (Bank Payment)

1. Visit any commercial bank.
2. Request UNICAL Post-UTME payment via E-Transact.
3. Obtain your E-transact PIN.
4. Visit myunical.edu.ng
5. Click “UTME Admission Screening”.
6. Log in with your JAMB Registration Number and PIN.
7. Fill out the form and submit.

Option 2: Buy Post-UTME PIN Online

1. Go to UNICAL portal
2. Click “Buy Post-UTME Pin Online”.
3. Use your Transaction ID as the PIN to log in.
4. Complete your application and print your registration slip.

Keep this printout — you’ll need it on your screening test day.

Screening Date & Test Requirements

Your exact screening date will be available on your Post-UTME Schedule Printout after successful registration.

On Screening Day, Bring:

• Your Post-UTME Schedule Printout
• Your 2025 UTME Result Slip

Do Not Bring:

• Calculators
• Smart devices (phones, watches)
• Bags
• Mathematical tables

Confiscated items will not be returned, so don’t bring them along.

Avoid Disqualification

UNICAL uses a strict verification system. Any false claim about UTME score, O’Level grades, or state of origin will lead to automatic disqualification.

Helpful Tips

• Use an active email address and phone number. This is how the school will reach you.
• Upload your O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal — this is mandatory.
