UNIBEN Opens Part-Time & Sandwich Admission for 2025/2026 Session – Apply Now
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, has officially announced that applications are now open for Part-Time Degree, Diploma, and Certificate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval for a wide range of courses under Arts, Education, Sciences, Management, and Social Sciences. Below are some of the available programmes:

Some of these courses run as Sandwich programmes (during holidays for teachers and professionals), while others are structured as part-time degrees and diplomas for flexible study.
How to Apply for UNIBEN Part-Time & Sandwich Admission 2025/2026
Application begins 7:00 am, 1st September 2025 and closes midnight, 5th October 2025. Interested candidates should follow these steps carefully:
- Register with JAMB – Visit a JAMB CBT Centre and register as a Part-Time candidate.
- Visit UNIBEN’s Official Portal – Use your JAMB number to access the student portal via the UNIBEN official website
- Create a Valid Email – Avoid using café emails to prevent access issues.
- Select Part-Time Studies Application 2025/2026.
- Fill in the Form – Complete all required fields (marked with *).
- Upload Passport Photo – A 1×1 coloured passport with a red background (JPEG format only). This photo will serve as your official ID.
- Pay Application Fee – ₦19,500 via Remita using any ATM-enabled Verve or MasterCard.
- Preview & Submit – Confirm your details before submission.
Important Warnings:
- Applications without a JAMB registration number will not be processed.
- Wrong or missing passport photo uploads will lead to automatic disqualification.
Screening & Admission Process
Unlike Post-UTME for full-time students, candidates may not write an entrance exam. Instead, admission will be based on:
- O’Level results
- JUPEB results
- Diploma qualifications
Applicants should check their admission status online about two weeks after the closing date.
