UNIBEN Opens Acceptance Portal for 2025/2026 Academic Session
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially opened its online portal for newly admitted students to begin acceptance and clearance processing for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In an announcement released through the university’s official communication channels, UNIBEN urged all successful candidates to promptly log in, pay the required acceptance fee, and complete their clearance before the November 10, 2025 deadline.
University officials emphasized that following the correct procedure will help students avoid unnecessary delays in securing their admission.
Step-by-Step Guide to UNIBEN Acceptance and Clearance
To ensure a smooth clearance process, candidates are advised to carefully follow these steps:
- Visit the UNIBEN student portal and click on Login.
- Sign in using your JAMB Registration Number as your User ID and your password.
- When prompted, enter a valid personal email address to receive your Student ID and a new password.
- Check your email for your login credentials, then log in again using your Student ID and new password.
- To begin clearance, navigate to the Academics menu and select Clearance.
- To pay the acceptance fee, use the Bank Transfer option on REMITA. (Note: Bank debit cards are currently not supported.)
- After payment, log out and log back in to refresh your payment status.
- Fill out the Clearance Form accurately and submit it for official approval.
Students are strongly advised to complete all steps before the deadline to avoid forfeiture of admission.
