UNIBEN Extends Post-UTME & Direct Entry Registration Deadlines for 2025/2026
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially extended the registration deadlines for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.
In a fresh announcement, the institution confirmed that Post-UTME registration will now close on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, while Direct Entry registration has been extended to Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The management explained that this extension was introduced to give more candidates a chance to complete their applications. However, they warned that no further extension should be expected, urging applicants to seize the opportunity without delay.
What You Need to Know About UNIBEN Post-UTME 2025/2026
For candidates targeting admission into UNIBEN, here’s the full breakdown of the screening process:
- Screening Dates: Monday, September 1 to Saturday, September 6, 2025.
- Venue: Physical screening at the Ugbowo Campus, Benin City.
- Eligibility:
- UNIBEN must be your first choice institution.
- Minimum UTME score of 200.
- At least five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics (for most courses).
- Candidates may combine two sittings.
- A valid email address is required.
How to Apply for UNIBEN Post-UTME 2025
- Visit the UNIBEN website
- Select “Application Menu” → “Begin Application Process”.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number, UTME score, and create a password.
- Log in, complete the application form, and confirm details carefully.
- Proceed to payment: ₦2,000 via Remita (plus portal charges).
- Print your acknowledgment slip and screening invitation slip (this will include your exam date and time).
Important: Payment closes strictly on Friday, August 22, 2025. Any candidate who fails to pay before this date will not be considered.
UNIBEN Course Groupings for Screening
To avoid confusion, candidates should know their course grouping:
- Group 1 (Physical Sciences): Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Technical Education.
