UNIABUJA Launches 2025 Degree Conversion Admission: Here’s What You Need to Know

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 Degree Conversion Programme. This special initiative, run through the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL\&CE), targets holders of HNDs or university degrees with third-class or pass classifications—providing a golden opportunity to earn a more competitive qualification.
Whether you’re a polytechnic graduate, a university alumnus with lower honours, or a certified nurse seeking academic advancement, this programme is designed to help you step up the ladder without quitting your job. The courses are flexible, part-time, and spread across major faculties.
Who Is This For?
UNIABUJA’s Degree Upgrade Programme is open to:
- HND holders
- University graduates with third-class or pass degrees
- Certified nurses with HNDs, midwifery, or third-class nursing degrees
- Candidates with two A-Level passes and at least five O’Level credits
- Anyone with at least five credits (including English and Mathematics) in no more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

Step-by-Step Application Process
- Register on the JAMB e-platform
- Ensure your name appears on UNIABUJA CAPS
- Visit cdlce.uniabuja.edu.ng
- Click “CLICK HERE TO APPLY”
- Choose Part-Time CDP / Degree Conversion
- Click “APPLY” and fill in your details
- Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay ₦20,000 online using Remita (MasterCard or Visa only)
- After payment, you’ll receive a unique application number
- Log in using that number and your surname as password to complete your application
