UNIABUJA Issues Vital Update for 2025/2026 Admission Candidates — Some Courses Now Filled
The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has released an important notice for all candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the Admission Committee, some degree programmes have reached full capacity, and affected applicants are advised to select from a list of approved alternative courses.
The University stressed that any course chosen outside the official alternatives will not be processed for admission, regardless of the applicant’s score or preference.
Admission consideration will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to space availability in the chosen departments. However, the management also noted that changing a course does not guarantee automatic admission into the university.

1. Candidates Who Applied for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or Biochemistry
May change to:

- Integrated Science Education
2. Candidates Who Applied for Computer Science
May change to:
- Statistics
- Mathematics

3. Candidates Who Applied for Law
May change to:
- History and Diplomatic Studies
4. Candidates Who Applied for English or Journalism and Media Studies
May change to:
- Linguistics
- Broadcasting

- Public Relations (Credit in English required)

5. Candidates Who Applied for Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical)

Application Procedure and Deadline
All affected candidates are required to visit any accredited CBT Centre or JAMB Office to effect the change of course on or before Wednesday, 5 November 2025.
