UNIABUJA Invites Applications for 2025/2026 Professional and Postgraduate Programmes

The Sultan Maccido Institute for Peace, Leadership and Development Studies at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 postgraduate and professional programmes. Applicants are invited to apply for Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), Master’s degrees, Professional PhDs, and specialized certificate courses.

Who Can Apply
The Institute welcomes candidates from diverse fields, including Engineering, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Management, Arts, Military, Paramilitary, Agriculture, Education, Taxation, and Law.

Admission Requirements

  • O’ Level: Minimum of five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in WASC/NECO/GCE or equivalent (max two sittings).
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, minimum of Second Class Lower.
  • PGD Exception: Lower Credit in HND or equivalent may be accepted.
  • National Service: NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter required.
  • PhD: Bachelor’s degree, professional Master’s, and MSc in a relevant field.

Candidates will undergo a screening exercise to assess eligibility.

Programme Duration

  • PGD: 9–24 months
  • Master’s: 12–18 months
  • Professional PhD: 36–60 months
  • Certificate courses: 12 months

  • Fee: N20,500 for Nigerian applicants; foreign candidates pay the equivalent.
