TSU Jalingo Opens Inter-Departmental Transfer Portal for 2025/2026 Session

Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has officially opened its Inter-Departmental Transfer portal for the 2025/2026 academic session, giving eligible returning students a limited window to change their academic programmes.

The announcement was issued by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on 6 February 2026, with the university stressing that the application timeline is short and the conditions are strict.


Transfer Portal Opens February 10

According to the notice, the TSU inter-departmental transfer portal will be accessible from Tuesday, 10 February to Friday, 20 February 2026.

University officials warned that no extension has been announced, and students who miss the deadline will have to wait until the next approved transfer period.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The transfer opportunity is strictly for returning students of Taraba State University who wish to change their academic programmes.

It also covers:

  • Students advised by their current departments to change programmes due to academic performance.
  • Candidates seeking internal programme adjustments within the university.

Newly admitted students are not eligible for this transfer exercise.

CGPA Requirements You Must Meet

TSU has clearly outlined minimum CGPA requirements, depending on the programme being sought.

For B.NSc. Nursing Science

  • Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

For All Other Programmes

  • A minimum CGPA of 3.00 is required.

The university emphasized that meeting the CGPA benchmark is non-negotiable and could determine the success or failure of an application.

How to Apply for TSU Inter-Departmental Transfer

Eligible students are required to:

  1. Pay the prescribed registration and application fees.
  2. Complete and submit their application online via the TSU portal.
  3. Ensure all details are accurate before final submission.

TSU noted that application submission is tied to payment, and only properly completed applications will be considered.

All transfer requests will undergo internal screening and must satisfy:
