Thomas Adewumi University Launches 2nd Convocation Week in Kwara State
Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) in Oko has officially commenced its 2nd Convocation Ceremonies, running from Friday, 21 November to Wednesday, 26 November 2025. The week-long celebration unites students, families, staff, and friends across the university’s East and West Campuses for a blend of study, service, sports, culture, and awards.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo, PhD, FBCS, FNCS, FASI, FPASRC, leads the events on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, and students.
About the 2nd Convocation
This convocation marks a new cohort of graduates ready to enter the workforce, further study, and public service. During the ceremonies, degrees will be awarded, prizes presented, and the entire university community will participate in outreach, worship, sports, drama, research, and social events. The week culminates in the Award of Degrees and Presentation of Prizes, where families and guests join staff and students to celebrate academic excellence.
Host and Special Guests
The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the university’s leadership, invites the public to partake in the convocation events. The Convocation Lecturer is Dr. Bayo W. Olugbemi, f.csi, fccs, fca, fcim, Managing Director/CEO of First Registrars & Investor Services Ltd. He will speak on:
“Crowdfunding Opportunities for Startups: Equipping Nigerian Graduates for a Sustainable Future.”
