Taraba State University Opens IJMB Admission for 2025/2026 Session

Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has officially announced the sale of admission forms for its Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programme, run by the School of Basic Studies at TSU, is designed to give students another opportunity to gain admission into Nigerian universities — especially those who could not score up to 150 in UTME.

Why the TSU IJMB Programme Is Important

The IJMB scheme is one of the most recognized alternative admission routes in Nigeria. According to the university’s Registrar, Mr. Joseph U. Bibinu, the programme runs for 9 to 12 months and is accepted by all Nigerian universities.

Here’s why the TSU IJMB admission stands out:

  • Direct entry admission into 200 level after completion.
  • Accepted by universities nationwide.
  • No need to retake JAMB/UTME.
  • Short duration – usually completed within one academic year.

In simple terms, the IJMB offers students a second chance or, better still, a shortcut to achieving their university dreams.
