Sokoto State University Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Screening — Apply Before October 10

Sokoto State University (SSU) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (D.E.) screening exercise, giving eligible candidates a two-month window to complete their online registration before the October deadline.

The screening portal will open on Monday, 11 August 2025 and close on Friday, 10 October 2025 — with no extension expected. Unlike traditional screening, there will be no physical examination; the entire process is fully online.


Who Can Apply

This screening is strictly for candidates who:

  • Selected Sokoto State University as their first choice in JAMB
  • Scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME (note: some courses require higher scores — check SSU’s official cut-off marks)
  • Are Direct Entry applicants with A’Level qualifications such as Diploma, NCE, or IJMB
  • Possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings

Important Requirements Before Registration

Candidates must ensure they have:

  • Uploaded their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS (through any JAMB CBT Centre)
  • Direct Entry candidates must have scanned copies of their A’Level results ready
  • A valid email address and active phone number
  • ₦2,000 for the screening fee (plus applicable transaction charges)

How to Apply for SSU Post-UTME/D.E. 2025

  1. Visit the SSU portal at SSU’s portal
  2. Use your JAMB Registration Number as both username and password to log in
  3. Click Update Data and provide your active phone number and email
  4. Generate and print your ₦2,000 payment invoice (with a Monnify reference number)
  5. Make payment at any commercial bank or online via the Pay Now link
  6. Log in again, update your biodata, academic records, and other required details
  7. Print your acknowledgment slip and payment receipt for safekeeping

  • The entire screening process is online; no physical Post-UTME examination will be conducted
