SLU Extends Post-UTME/DE Deadline for 2025/2026 Admission — See New Closing Date
Good news for admission seekers! Sule Lamido University (SLU) has officially extended the deadline for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration.
The online application, which was originally scheduled to close earlier, will now remain open from Monday, September 22, to midnight on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
According to the university management, the extension was approved to give candidates more time to complete their registration and avoid being locked out of the admission process.
“Applicants should seize this opportunity to finalize their submissions,” SLU announced, while also reminding all candidates to upload their SSCE results on their JAMB profile for proper processing.
Who Can Apply?
Before rushing to the portal, here are the minimum requirements:
- UTME Candidates: At least 5 credits in relevant O’Level subjects (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.
- Direct Entry Candidates: At least a Lower Credit in ND, a Merit in NCE, or 7 points in IJMBE.
Each course has its own cut-off marks. For example:
- Agriculture courses: 150 UTME, 7 points DE.
- Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT & Software Engineering: 160 UTME, 7 points DE.
- Education & Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.): 170 UTME, 7 points DE.
- Humanities (English, History, Islamic Studies): 170 UTME, 7 points DE.
- Social Sciences (Economics, Political Science, Accounting): 150–170 UTME, 7 points DE.

- Application Start Date: Monday, August 11, 2025
- New Closing Date: Sunday, September 28, 2025 (midnight)
- Screening Fee: ₦2,000 (plus REMITA charges)
How To Apply for SLU Post-UTME/DE 2025/2026
- Visit the SLU admissions portal
- Choose UTME or DE option.
- Log in with your details (UTME or DE number).
- Upload your passport photograph and O’Level results (max 2 sittings).
- DE candidates must also upload original A’Level or equivalent certificates.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee online or at the bank via REMITA.
- Print your acknowledgement slip.
Documents Required After Admission
If offered admission, you must provide:
- Acknowledgement slip
- Payment receipt
- UTME result/DE registration slip
- Original SSCE result
- Birth certificate/age declaration
- Indigene certificate
- Two passport photographs (white background)
- A’Level certificate (for DE)
Final Reminder
If you want to change your course or institution to SLU, ensure you do it with your JAMB green card before the deadline. Missing this registration means sitting out the entire 2025/2026 session.
