OOU Admission 2025/2026: Step-by-Step Guide for All Applicants

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has officially released its 2025/2026 admission guidelines, and candidates are urged to follow every step carefully to avoid missing out.

Who Can Get OOU Admission?

The university has made it clear:

  • Only candidates who sat for the OOU post-UTME are eligible.
  • A minimum aggregate of 40% is required for full-time admission.
  • This aggregate score is calculated by combining both your UTME and post-UTME scores.

In simple terms, your UTME and post-UTME results will be weighed together to decide if you qualify.

Key Steps in the OOU Admission Process

Missing any step could cost you your admission. Here’s what to do:

  1. Log in to the OOU Post-UTME portal and print your results.
  2. Check JAMB CAPS regularly for admission updates.
  3. Accept your admission offer quickly on JAMB CAPS once available—delays can make you lose it.
  4. Print your JAMB Admission Letter from the official JAMB portal.
  5. Proceed to the OOU Admission Portal to complete your registration.

O’Level Results Requirement

Candidates must ensure their O’Level results—especially the fresh NECO 2025 results—are uploaded on JAMB CAPS. Failure to do so means no admission will be given.

Special Cases: Transfer of Course

Some students may be offered a transfer to another course. If that happens, here’s the correct order:

  1. Accept the transfer offer on JAMB CAPS.
  2. Accept the admission itself.
  3. Complete a Change of Course within two weeks so you can print your admission letter.

Important Warning: Do not attempt a Change of Course without first accepting a transfer offer. Doing so could cancel your admission chances.

Final Note from OOU

The university has urged all candidates to ignore rumours or fake information from unofficial sources. All valid updates will be published only through official OOU and JAMB channels.

Admission season may feel like a race, but with this guide, every step is clearly mapped out. Keep checking the right portals, act on time, and keep your documents safe.
