NYSC Announces Date for 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Passing-Out Ceremony — A New Chapter Begins for Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially fixed Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the date for the Passing-Out Ceremony of 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Corps Members, marking the completion of their one-year mandatory national service.
This highly anticipated event signifies a major milestone for thousands of Corps Members across Nigeria, as it ushers in the end of service and the beginning of a new phase filled with career and life opportunities.
Programme of Activities: What to Expect
According to a circular released by the NYSC management, the week-long Passing-Out programme will kick off with Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) sessions at all Local Government Areas nationwide.
These sessions are designed to prepare Corps Members for post-service life by offering professional guidance on career development, entrepreneurship, and job placement opportunities.
As part of the activities, final clearance will also be conducted by Zonal Inspectors, who will verify and issue clearance letters to eligible Corps Members. This clearance is a mandatory prerequisite for collecting the NYSC Certificate of National Service.
The highlight of the event — the Passing-Out Parade — will be conducted in a low-key format, following NYSC’s standard tradition for concluding each service year.
NYSC Director-General’s Message to Corps Members
In a congratulatory message, the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, commended the resilience, patriotism, and commitment of all Corps Members in the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I.
He expressed deep appreciation to field officers, Local Government Inspectors, and monitoring teams for their unwavering support throughout the service year.
“I urge all outgoing Corps Members to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and hard work instilled during their service. Use the skills and experiences you’ve gained to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our nation,”
— Brig. Gen. Nafiu stated.
A Proud Moment for Every Corps Member
For many, the NYSC Passing-Out exercise represents more than the end of a chapter — it symbolizes growth, resilience, and the birth of new aspirations.
As Nigeria prepares to celebrate another group of young graduates who have served their country faithfully, the NYSC urges all Corps Members to remain ambassadors of national unity and productivity wherever they go.
Congratulations to all 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Corps Members! Your journey of service has officially come full circle.
