NSUK Releases 2025/2026 Academic Calendar, Sets Jan 4 Registration and Feb 2 Lecture Resumption

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has officially released its Senate-approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session, providing clear timelines for student registration, third-semester activities, and the start of lectures.

The directive, circulated to the university community, makes it clear that strict compliance is required by all faculties, departments, and relevant academic units.

The notice was signed by Prof. B. S. Jatau, Director of Academic Planning, confirming its official status.

Registration Portal Opens January 4

According to the calendar, the NSUK online portal will be opened for both newly admitted and returning students for registration from:

Sunday, 4 January 2026 – Saturday, 31 January 2026

This means all students are expected to complete their registration within this window. The university emphasized that the process is not open-ended, and late registration could affect students’ academic standing.

Third Semester Exams to Run Alongside Registration

While registration is ongoing, NSUK will also conduct Third Semester (Second Batch) revision and examinations.

These will take place from:

Monday, 12 January – Saturday, 24 January 2026

The university has directed all departments to carefully coordinate both activities so that the examination process does not disrupt student registration.

This overlapping schedule means students involved in the third semester must stay alert and manage their time carefully.

Lectures Begin February 2

NSUK has fixed:

Monday, 2 February 2026

as the official date for resumption and commencement of lectures for all categories of students.

Faculties and departments have been instructed to prepare ahead of time to ensure a smooth academic take-off.

Why This Calendar Matters

With registration, examinations, and lectures tightly scheduled, the 2025/2026 calendar leaves little room for delays. Students are therefore advised to:

  • Register early
  • Monitor their departmental schedules
  • Prepare ahead for both exams and lectures

Failure to comply with the timelines could lead to academic and administrative challenges.
