NSUK Matriculation 2025/2026: Date, Time, Venue, Gown Collection & Full Procession Details Announced

New students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) are set to formally begin their academic journey as the university announces the official date and guidelines for the 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony.

If you’re a newly admitted candidate, here’s everything you need to know — from gown collection to seating arrangements and penalties for late returns.


NSUK 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony Details

The university management has fixed the ceremony as follows:

  • Date: Friday, 27 February 2026
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.
  • Assembly Time: 8:00 a.m. (promptly for procession)
  • Venue: Convocation Square, Main Campus

All matriculating students are expected to be seated and fully robed before the official commencement time.

Collection of Matriculation Gowns

NSUK has directed all matriculating students to collect their academic gowns free of charge from the offices of their respective Faculty Officers.

  • Collection Begins: Tuesday, 24 February 2026
  • Cost: Free
  • Return Deadline: Within 24 hours after the ceremony

The university emphasized that gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony and not later than 24 hours afterward.

Penalty for Late Gown Return

The institution has issued a strict warning:

Failure to return the matriculation gown within the stipulated time will attract a fine and/or penalty.

Students are therefore advised to comply to avoid unnecessary financial charges.

Procession and Assembly Guidelines

All matriculating students must:

  • Assemble outside the Convocation Square by 8:00 a.m. sharp
  • Line up behind their respective Faculty Officers
  • Arrange themselves in alphabetical order

The procession will follow this order:

  1. Faculty of Administration
  2. Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
  3. Faculty of Arts
  4. Faculty of Communication and Media Studies
  5. Faculty of Education
  6. Faculty of Environmental Science
  7. Faculty of Law
  8. Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
  9. Faculty of Social Sciences
  10. Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Engineering

Special Notice for Agriculture & Engineering Students

NSUK clarified that:

  • The Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Engineering will hold their matriculation ceremonies at their respective campuses, as is customary.

Seating Schedule:

  • Faculty of Engineering: Seated by 9:00 a.m.
  • Faculty of Agriculture, Lafia: Seated by 11:00 a.m.

Students in these faculties are advised to strictly adhere to the seating timeline at their designated campuses.
