Northwest University Kano Announces 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Registration — Full Guidelines, Cut-off Marks, and Requirements
The wait is over. Northwest University, Kano (NWU), has officially opened its registration window for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. According to the management, the process will run online from Monday, September 15, 2025, to Sunday, September 28, 2025.
This announcement is a major call for candidates who selected NWU as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME to prepare, register, and secure their chance at admission into one of the university’s prestigious programmes.
Who Can Apply for NWU Post-UTME 2025?
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Chosen Northwest University, Kano as first choice in JAMB.
- Obtained at least five credits in SSCE (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Scored the approved cut-off mark for their chosen course.

Note: The full list covers all departments, ranging from Medicine and Sciences to Arts, Social Sciences, and Education, with cut-off marks between 230 and 150. Candidates are advised to carefully check their programme’s requirement before applying.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
For DE applicants, the conditions are as follows:
- A valid 2025 JAMB DE registration slip.
- Possession of ND, NCE, or IJMB qualifications.
- Minimum of 3.0 CGPA for science courses and 3.5 CGPA for arts courses.
- 9 points in NCE, 7 points for science-based IJMB, or 8 points for arts/social sciences IJMB.
Step-by-Step Guide to Register for NWU Post-UTME 2025
Candidates must follow these steps carefully to avoid disqualification:
- Visit the NWU admission portal and click on “2025 Admission Portal”.
- Generate a NABROLL invoice through the portal.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee either online or at any bank nationwide.
- Return to the portal, complete the registration form, and print the acknowledgement slip.
- Keep the slip safe — it will be required during the screening exercise.
