Nigerian Dental Students Get Chance to Win Fully Funded Trip to Jordan for IADS 2026
The Nigerian Association of Dental Students (NADS), in collaboration with the Association of Private Dental Practitioners in Nigeria (APDPN), has officially opened applications for the NADS Essay Competition 2025.
At stake? A fully funded trip to Jordan for the International Association of Dental Students (IADS) Midyear Meeting scheduled for February 2026.
Organisers describe the initiative as more than just an academic contest—it is a gateway to global exposure, networking opportunities, and professional recognition.
What the Essay Should Contain
Interested participants are required to write an essay addressing the theme: “Why I Want to Attend the Upcoming IADS Meeting.”
Submission guidelines include:
- Maximum of 1,000 words
- Title must include student’s name and dental student association
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- APA 7 referencing style
- Deadline: October 6, 2025
This timeline gives students just enough room to prepare thoughtful entries while meeting academic writing standards.
What’s at Stake
The grand prize is more than a ticket—it is a career-changing opportunity. The winner will:
- Travel fully sponsored to Jordan for the IADS Midyear Meeting 2026
- Gain international exposure and build global networks within the dental community
- Receive formal recognition during the APDPN Conference in October 2025, where awards will be presented
“This is more than winning an essay competition; it’s about joining the global dental stage,” the organisers emphasised.
How to Apply
Entries must be submitted via the official NADS Essay Competition Form.
For many young dental students, this is not just an essay—it’s an open door to international recognition. Opportunities like this are rare, and the call is clear: bring your best ideas, write with conviction, and you could be Jordan-bound in 2026.
