UNIABUJA Post-UTME/DE Screening 2025: Dates, Requirements, Cut-Off Marks and How to Apply

If the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) is your dream school, the countdown has begun. The institution has officially announced its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session, and the portal is open for just a limited time.

The registration runs from Thursday, August 14, 2025, to Friday, September 5, 2025. After that, the gate closes—no extensions, no back doors.

So, who exactly can apply, what are the cut-off marks, and how do you get in? Let’s break it down.


Who Can Apply?

To qualify for UNIABUJA’s Post-UTME or Direct Entry screening, candidates must meet the following conditions:

UTME Applicants:

  • Minimum UTME score of 180 and above (depending on your course).
  • Must meet the programme-specific cut-off mark.
  • 5 O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  • O’Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB portal.
  • Candidates must be 16 years or older by September 30, 2025.
  • Your UTME subject combination must align with your chosen course.
  • “Awaiting result” candidates are not eligible.

Direct Entry (DE) Applicants:

  • Accepted qualifications: NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree, or HND.
  • JUPEB and NABTEB A-Level holders are not eligible.
  • A-Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB portal and verified by the awarding institution.

UNIABUJA Cut-Off Marks 2025/2026

Here are some highlights from the official departmental cut-off marks:

  • Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) – 230
  • Nursing Science – 230
  • Civil Law – 230
  • Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) – 200
  • Veterinary Medicine (DVM) – 200
  • Engineering Courses – 200
  • Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS) – 200
  • Biochemistry, Microbiology, Geology – 190
  • Most other courses – 180

How to Apply for UNIABUJA Post-UTME/DE 2025

The application process is simple but requires careful attention:

  1. Visit the  UNIABUJA portaland click “Click Here to Apply.”
  2. Select Undergraduate on the left menu.
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number and click Get Details.
  4. Fill in your information with a valid email and phone number.
  5. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee via Remita (Generate RRR and complete with your ATM card/OTP).
  6. Re-login using your JAMB number (username) and surname (password).
  7. Complete the registration, then print your acknowledgement slip and receipt.

Important Notice

  • If you wish to change your course, it must first be updated on the JAMB portal before UNIABUJA will accept it.
  • The registration closes Friday, September 5, 2025. Missing this deadline means losing your chance.
