NECO Reschedules 2023 Common Entrance Examinations Date
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced a rescheduling of the 2023 Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) from the earlier proposed date to Saturday, 3rd June 2023. This announcement was made by the council in a statement signed by its Head, Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani, on Monday.
The NCEE is a national examination taken by pupils in their final year of primary education, and it serves as a qualifying examination for admission into the Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs). The exam, which was initially slated for May 27th, will now hold on June 3rd, 2023, according to the council.
The decision to reschedule the exams was made after considering several factors, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted the education sector worldwide. The council also noted that the postponement would allow more time for students to prepare adequately for the exams.
NECO further advised all registered candidates to check their registration details on the council’s website, www.neco.gov.ng. Candidates were also advised to print their examination slips from the website from Wednesday, 24th May 2023.
In conclusion, the rescheduling of the 2023 Common Entrance Examinations by the National Examinations Council is a commendable move aimed at ensuring that the students are given enough time to prepare and that the exams are conducted under safe and conducive conditions. We urge all registered candidates to take advantage of the extra time to study hard and excel in the exams.
