NAAB Announces Date for 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony and Commencement Lecture

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has officially released the schedule for its 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony and 13th Commencement Lecture, marking another milestone in the institution’s academic calendar.

According to the management, the event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Professor Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Important Guidelines for Matriculating Students

All newly admitted students are required to appear in full academic regalia for the ceremony. The academic gowns and caps will be available for collection from their respective colleges starting Monday, November 17, 2025.

Students must present a photocopy of their school fees payment receipt for the 2025/2026 Academic Session at their College Office before collecting the gowns and caps.

The university emphasized that all borrowed academic gowns and caps must be returned no later than 12 noon on Monday, November 24, 2025. Failure to return them on time will attract a fine of ₦20,000, while a replacement fee of ₦30,000 will be charged for any lost item.

Strict Attendance and Timing Rules

FUNAAB has advised all matriculating students to be seated by 9:30 a.m., as all entrances to the venue will be blocked once the Vice-Chancellor’s Procession begins. The university stressed that punctuality and decorum are essential throughout the event.

Online Matriculation Oath Requirement

In line with the university’s regulations, matriculation is incomplete without signing the Matriculation Oath online. Students who fail to complete this process will not be recognized as official students of the institution.

In Summary

The 2025/2026 FUNAAB Matriculation Ceremony promises to be a defining moment for the new intakes, as it formally welcomes them into the university community. The management urges all matriculants to comply with the outlined procedures and maintain the school’s tradition of excellence.
