LUTH Opens Applications for 2025/2026 Community Health Officers Diploma Program
The Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has officially announced the opening of applications for its two-year Higher Diploma in Community Health Officers (CHO) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This fully residential course is conducted at two key locations: the LUTH Primary Health Care Complex in Pakoto and the main campus at Idi-Araba, Lagos. It is accredited and approved by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN), ensuring the highest standards of training.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for admission into the CHO programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Diploma in Community Health with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, or
- Hold a Community Health Extension Workers Certificate with at least 5 years of work experience.
Additionally, all candidates must:
- Be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN)
- Have a valid practising licence
These requirements guarantee that applicants have a solid foundation and practical experience in community health before advancing their skills.
How to Apply for the LUTH CHO Programme
The application process is fully online and straightforward. Follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the official LUTH course portal at luth.gov.ng/courses
- Select “School of Community Health” from the list of courses
- Complete the Account Creation Form with accurate details and a working email address
- Check your email for login credentials sent by the portal
- Log in and click on “Make Payment” to pay the ₦10,000 application fee via Remita using the generated RRR code
- After payment confirmation, log in at luth.gov.ng/profile
- Complete and submit the application form for the CHO course
- Print your application bio-data, which will be required for the entrance screening
Important: Apply Early Before the Deadline
Applications close 12 weeks from the date of this announcement. Early submission is highly recommended to allow sufficient time for preparation and successful completion of all application steps.
