Lead City University Announces Revised Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Session
Lead City University (LCU), Ibadan, has released its updated academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, offering students a detailed schedule of important academic events, examination dates, and holidays. This revised timeline ensures that students are well-prepared for the upcoming session.
First Semester Highlights
- January 27: Students return to campus after the Christmas and New Year break.
- January 27 – February 7: Lectures and revision period.
- February 4 & 6: Matriculation ceremony for fresh students.
- February 10 – 26: First semester examinations begin.
Second Semester Schedule
- March 3: Commencement of the second semester.
- March 24 – 30: Special celebrations for LCU’s 20th anniversary.
- June 4 – 20: Second semester examinations.
- June 30: End of the academic session.
Summer Semester (For Newly Admitted Students Only)
- June 23 – July 25: Summer semester lectures.
- July 28 – August 8: Summer examinations.
- August 11 – September 19: Long vacation for all students.
Note: The summer term is exclusive to students admitted after November 15, 2024. Other students will not be eligible for summer examinations.

- September 22, 2025: Beginning of the 2025/2026 academic session.
