LASU Releases Matriculation Numbers for Postgraduate Students, Issues Registration Guidelines

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has officially released the matriculation numbers for the first batch of admitted postgraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to the institution, only students who achieved 100% compliance in the LACACA operations have been assigned matriculation numbers. The numbers will now serve as the official identity for all academic and administrative processes throughout their stay at the university.


How to Check Your LASU Matriculation Number

Students can access their matriculation numbers by following these steps:

  1. Visit the LASU official website via www.lasu.edu.ng
  2. Navigate to the STUDENT tab and select CHECK MATRICULATION NUMBER
  3. Enter your Postgraduate Application Number (PG24…)
  4. Click SUBMIT to view your matriculation number

Uses of LASU Matriculation Number

The university emphasized that the newly issued matriculation number must be used for all official online processes, including:

  • Payment of school fees
  • Payment of matriculation fees
  • Course registration
  • Class attendance
  • Semester examinations

Creating an Account on the Postgraduate Registration Portal

LASU has also directed all new postgraduate students to set up their accounts on the registration portal before completing course registration. To create an account, students should:

  1. Visit the LASU website: www.lasu.edu.ng
  2. Go to the STUDENT tab, select COURSE REGISTRATION, and click COURSE REG
  3. Click Create Account to set up your portal profile
  4. After account creation, click Login
  5. Select your programme option/degree type
  6. Enter your Matriculation Number and Password, then agree to the terms and conditions
  7. Click Login and proceed to complete your course registration

Important Notice to Students

The university strongly advised all postgraduate students to complete their registration processes within the given deadline. LASU warned that late registration will attract penalties, and students may risk missing vital academic activities if they fail to comply.

This development marks a critical step in the 2024/2025 academic journey for postgraduate students, ensuring smooth academic operations and proper documentation from the onset.
