General Requirements for LASU Job Recruitment 2025
Interested applicants are advised to carefully review the criteria for their preferred positions as outlined below:
- Professor: Minimum of 10 years post-doctoral experience with at least 25 academic publications.
- Associate Professor: Minimum of 8 years post-doctoral experience with at least 20 publications.
- Senior Lecturer: Minimum of 6 years post-doctoral experience with at least 15 publications.
- Lecturer I: Minimum of 3 years post-doctoral experience with at least 5 publications.
- Lecturer II: PhD in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 publications.
- Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree (M.A., M.Ed., or M.Sc.) in a relevant field with evidence of PhD admission.
- Technologist: M.Sc. in Geography (Climatology or Environmental Geography).
Additionally, all candidates must have:
- Five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- A minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in their first degree.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Professional membership (mandatory for senior roles in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences).
