Lagos Opens 2025/2026 Scholarship, Bursary Portal for Tertiary Students
The Lagos State Government has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 Academic Session Bursary and Scholarship Awards, giving thousands of eligible students a fresh opportunity to access financial support for their studies.
The Lagos State Scholarship Board (LSSB) announced that the online application portal will run for just over five weeks, urging qualified candidates to apply early and strictly within the approved timeline.

According to the Board, the application window is clearly defined:
- Portal Opens: Monday, 19 January 2026
- Portal Closes: Friday, 27 February 2026
Applicants are expected to complete and submit their forms within this period, as late submissions will not be entertained.
Who Is Eligible?
The bursary and scholarship awards are strictly for Lagos State indigenes who are:
- Currently enrolled in tertiary institutions
- Studying in any accredited higher institution across Nigeria
Importantly, the Scholarship Board clarified that the location of a student’s school does not affect eligibility, as long as the applicant is a confirmed Lagos State indigene studying in a tertiary institution.
