Kogi State Polytechnic Opens HND Admissions for 2025/2026 Academic Session
Kogi State Polytechnic (KSP) has officially commenced the sale of application forms for its Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. This presents an opportunity for National Diploma (ND) holders aiming to advance their academic and professional qualifications.

1. School of Applied Sciences
- Computer Science
- Software and Web Development
- Networking and Cloud Computing

- Science Laboratory Technology (Options: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Biology)
2. School of Art, Design and Printing
- Industrial Design (Options: Graphics, Textiles, Ceramics)
- Fine Arts (Options: Painting, Sculpture)
3. School of Engineering Technology
- Mineral/Petroleum Engineering (Options: Mining, Geological, Mineral Processing)

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit (2.50 CGPA).
- Have five (5) O’Level credit passes in subjects including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE).
- Complete a minimum of one-year Industrial Training (IT). Candidates with a Pass in ND must have completed two years of IT.
- Ensure that academic transcripts are sent directly from the previous institution to: The Registrar, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
- Note: Specific departments may have additional subject requirements. For instance, science and engineering courses typically require Physics and Chemistry, while Public Administration requires Government or Civic Education.
Application Procedure
To apply, follow these steps:
- Visit the KSP application portal
- Generate two Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) numbers for the following payments:
- Admission Form: ₦10,000
- Screening Fee: ₦10,000
- Make payments online through the portal.
- Complete the application form and upload all necessary credentials.
- Submit hard copies of all documents to the Admission Office.
- Ensure your previous institution sends your academic transcript directly to the Registrar at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
