Kogi State Polytechnic Announces Resumption Date and Key Academic Activities for 2025/2026 Session
Lokoja, Nigeria – Kogi State Polytechnic has officially released its resumption date and academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session following an emergency meeting of the Academic Board held on Monday, September 4, 2025.
The announcement, signed by the Director of Academic Planning, provides a detailed breakdown of when students are expected back on campus and important academic events to guide the new session.
Resumption Date
- Fresh and returning students (except those on SIWES) are to resume on Monday, September 15, 2025.
- SIWES students will resume later on Monday, December 8, 2025.
This staggered resumption plan is designed to reduce congestion and ensure a smoother academic transition.
Registration Period
Registration for all eligible students begins immediately on September 15, 2025 and will close on October 10, 2025.
- Late registration will run from October 13 to 17, 2025, attracting a penalty fee of ₦5,000.
Students are strongly advised to register early to avoid unnecessary stress and financial penalties.
Orientation and Matriculation for Freshers
The Polytechnic has scheduled orientation and matriculation for new students between October 27 and 29, 2025.
This event will not only mark their official entry into the institution but also prepare them for academic and social life on campus.
