Kano State Polytechnic Releases Official Pre-ND to ND I Registration Procedure for 2025/2026 Session

Kano State Polytechnic has officially published the complete and approved registration procedure for Pre-ND students progressing to ND I for the 2025/2026 academic session, outlining a strict, step-by-step process that candidates must follow.

According to the institution, the registration sequence covers placement verification, data updates, payments, departmental screening, portal registration, library clearance, and bursary authentication. Students are advised to follow the steps exactly as released, as no additional or alternative requirements will be accepted.

Who the Registration Applies To

This procedure is strictly for Kano State Polytechnic Pre-ND students who have been offered placement into ND I for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Step-by-Step Registration Procedure

Step 1: Collect Placement Form

Students are to proceed to the School of Basic Studies to collect their placement form.

Step 2: Update Records at M.I.S

Candidates must visit the Management Information System (M.I.S) Department to update their personal and academic records.

Accuracy is critical — even minor errors can delay registration.

Step 3: Log In to Prepare Admission Letter

Students log into their portal account to prepare for printing the Kano State Polytechnic admission letter.

Step 4: Pay Acceptance Fee

Before the admission letter can be printed, candidates must pay:

  • Admission Acceptance Fee: ₦10,000.00

Step 5: Departmental Screening

Candidates proceed to their respective departments for screening.
At this stage, the Polytechnic admission letter is signed and stamped.

Step 6: Pay Union Dues

Students proceed to Micro Finance Bank to pay:

  • Union Dues: ₦1,500.00

Step 7: School Assessment & Document Submission

Candidates report to the Students Affairs Officer of their school with photocopies of the following:

  • Screened Polytechnic admission letter
  • JAMB admission letter (for ND students)
  • Teller for union dues payment
  • Photocopies of all original credentials
  • Passport photograph

Step 8: Account Activation

Students return to the M.I.S Department for account activation, which enables access to portal services.

Step 9: Portal Payments & Printing

Using the Kano State Polytechnic SRMS website candidates must:

  • Pay central registration fee
  • Pay departmental registration fee
  • Print payment receipts
  • Print Course Registration Form (CRF)
  • Print Student Examination Card

Step 10: Library Registration

Candidates proceed to the Polytechnic Library to complete library registration.

Step 11: Bursary Authentication

Students visit the Bursary Department at Central Administration for payment authentication and verification.

Step 12: Final Departmental Documentation

For final clearance, candidates submit to their department:

  • Two (2) copies of all credentials
  • Two recent passport photographs
