Kano State Polytechnic has officially released the registration procedure for candidates admitted into the School for Basic and Remedial Studies for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The process follows a clear sequence — from accepting the admission offer and paying the acceptance fee to screening, portal payments, and final documentation. Candidates are strongly advised to complete each step in the correct order to avoid delays or disqualification.

Step-by-Step Registration Procedure
Step 1: Accept or Reject Admission
Candidates must first log in to their admission account and either accept or reject the offer. Registration can only continue after acceptance.
Step 2: Pay Acceptance Fee
After accepting the admission, candidates must pay the non-refundable acceptance fee before printing the admission letter.

Step 3: Attend Physical Screening
Candidates are required to report in person for screening at:
School for Basic and Remedial Studies

Step 4: Assessment by Students Affairs Officer
After screening, candidates must meet the Students Affairs Officer for assessment with the following:
- Photocopy of screened Kano State Polytechnic admission letter
- Photocopies of all original academic credentials
- One passport photograph
Step 5: Account Activation (M.I.S.)
Candidates must proceed to the M.I.S. Unit for account activation.
Registration cannot continue unless the account status shows “Active.”
Step 6: Portal Payments & Document Printing
Once activated, candidates should log in to the KanoPoly SRMS portal to complete the following:
- Pay Central Registration Fee
- Pay Departmental Registration Fee
- Print payment receipts
- Print Course Registration Form (CRF)
- Print Student Examination Card
Step 7: Library Registration
Candidates must visit the Polytechnic Library to complete library registration as part of the clearance process.
Step 8: Payment Authentication at the Bursary
All payments must be authenticated at the Bursary Department, Central Administration, Kano State Polytechnic.
Step 9: Final Documentation at the School
Candidates must return to the School for Basic and Remedial Studies with:
- Two (2) copies of all credentials
- Two recent passport photographs
- All required fees, including the ₦7,000 acceptance fee
