Kaduna State is now accepting applications for the 2025 edition of its prestigious Data Science Fellowship Programme — a fully paid, six-month opportunity designed to train young minds to use data to solve real-world problems in public service, especially in health.
Supported by the Kaduna State Government, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation, this initiative is ideal for young Nigerians eager to make an impact with data and technology.
Launched in 2020, the programme has already empowered dozens of fellows to transform how local governments use data — from improving the efficiency of health centres to identifying key community needs.

What Fellows Will Gain

Who Should Apply?
You’re eligible if you:
- Are between 18 and 35 years old (exceptions may apply)
- Reside in Kaduna State
- Have a background (graduate or intern) in any STEM field, including:
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Economics
- Statistics
- Physical or Health Sciences
- Are computer literate
- Can understand basic data concepts and use Excel
- Communicate clearly in English
- Enjoy solving problems
