JAMB Scores Now Accessible on CAPS Portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates’ scores from the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are now available on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal. This development allows tertiary institutions to access and process candidates’ scores for the 2024 admission cycle.

In a statement released by JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the board confirmed that the upload of the scores to the CAPS portal has been completed successfully. Prof. Oloyede stated, “We are pleased to announce that the scores of candidates who sat for the 2024 UTME have been successfully uploaded to the CAPS portal. Tertiary institutions can now access these scores and commence the admission process for the 2024 academic session.”

The CAPS portal is a centralized platform that facilitates the admission process by enabling tertiary institutions to access candidates’ UTME scores, O’level results, and other relevant data. The portal streamlines the admission process and ensures transparency and fairness in the selection of candidates.

Candidates who are awaiting admission into tertiary institutions are advised to visit the CAPS portal to check their admission status. They can log in to the portal using their JAMB registration number and other required details.

Prof. Oloyede further emphasized that the admission process will be conducted based on merit, with due consideration given to candidates’ UTME scores, O’level results, and other admission criteria set by the respective institutions. He urged candidates to be patient and follow the admission guidelines provided by their chosen institutions.

The availability of UTME scores on the CAPS portal is a significant milestone in the 2024 admission process. It enables tertiary institutions to commence the selection process and allows candidates to track their admission status easily.

JAMB has also advised tertiary institutions to adhere to the admission guidelines and quotas approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) to ensure a smooth and transparent admission process.

Candidates are encouraged to visit JAMB’s official website and the CAPS portal for further information and updates regarding the 2024 admission exercise. They can also contact JAMB’s helpdesk or their chosen institutions for any inquiries or clarifications.
