JAMB Releases Results of 36,540 Candidates Previously Withheld in 2024 UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the release of the results of an additional 36,540 candidates who participated in the recently concluded 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). These results were previously withheld by the examination body for various reasons.
In a statement released by JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board confirmed that the decision to release these results came after a thorough investigation and verification process. The withheld results were scrutinized for possible examination malpractice, biometric verification issues, and other irregularities.
Dr. Benjamin stated, “After conducting a comprehensive review and verification of the 36,540 withheld results, JAMB has determined that these candidates’ results can now be released. The board is satisfied with the integrity of these results and has decided to release them to enable the affected candidates to proceed with their admission process.”
The release of these results brings relief to the affected candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of their examination. The candidates can now access their results by logging into their JAMB profiles on the board’s official website using their unique registration numbers.
JAMB has advised the affected candidates to print their result slips and proceed to their chosen institutions for the next stage of the admission process. The board has also notified tertiary institutions to consider these released results in their admission decisions.
The 2024 UTME, which was conducted in May, witnessed a significant turnout of candidates, with over 2 million registered applicants. The examination serves as a prerequisite for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
JAMB has reassured the public of its commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the examination process. The board employs advanced technology and rigorous procedures to identify and address any instances of examination misconduct.
Candidates are advised to visit JAMB’s official website for further information and updates regarding the admission process. They can also contact JAMB’s helpdesk through the provided channels for any inquiries or clarifications.
