IAUE Announces Christmas Vacation Dates for Staff, Students
Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has officially announced its Christmas vacation schedule, giving staff and students a short break to celebrate the festive season before academic activities resume in the new year.
In a circular dated December 8, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Dr. C. A. Ajie, the university management confirmed that the approval was granted by the institution’s leadership.
IAUE Christmas Vacation Schedule 2025/2026
According to the notice:
- Christmas vacation begins: Friday, December 19, 2025
- Christmas vacation ends: Monday, January 5, 2026
- Resumption of full activities: Monday, January 5, 2026
All academic, administrative, and office duties will return to full operation on the resumption date.
Essential Staff to Remain on Duty
The university clarified that staff assigned to essential services will continue working throughout the holiday period. These include personnel in:
- Estate Department
- Security Services
- Health Services
Their continued presence is to ensure campus safety, maintenance, and essential daily operations during the break.
Management Sends Festive Greetings
The announcement also conveyed goodwill messages from the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Okechuku Onuchuku. On behalf of the university management, he extended warm Christmas wishes and New Year greetings to staff, students, and the entire IAUE community.
Looking Ahead to the New Year
As the festive break approaches, IAUE management expressed optimism about a smooth and successful return to academic activities in the new year, encouraging the university community to enjoy the holiday responsibly.
