Historic Induction Ceremony for Foreign-Trained Medical Graduates Scheduled in Nigeria
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has announced an important induction ceremony for foreign-trained medical and dental graduates who successfully passed the MDCN Assessment Examination held in September 2024. This significant event will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

Preparing for the Induction: Check Your Folio Number
All prospective inductees are advised to check the email address used during exam registration to find their assigned Folio Numbers. If you cannot locate your Folio Number, please contact the MDCN at [email protected] for assistance.
How to Register on the MDCN Portal
Once you have your Folio Number, you can register on the MDCN portal. Here’s how:
- Visit the MDCN Portal.
- Click the “Doctor Access” button.
- Select “Create New Account” below the login form or use the “Register” link at the top right of the page.
- Click the button under “New Doctor Account.”
- Complete the Registration Form.
- Submit your form by clicking “Create Account.”
After successfully creating your account, you will receive an email with your login details. Please note that your account will be activated only after you receive a signup approval email from MDCN, typically within 48 business hours.
Completing Registration and Payment
Once your account is active, log in to the MDCN Portal to update your records and complete the required payments. Foreign-trained graduates should select Foreign Provisional Registration from the list under Provisional Registration Type.
Fees Required:
- Registration Fee: N230,000.00
- Insurance Indemnity: N15,000.00
Important Deadline
The deadline for registration for the induction ceremony is Friday, November 22, 2024. Only candidates who fulfill all registration requirements will be eligible to participate in the ceremony.
