HBBA Launches #MyImageMyRight Challenge for Nigerian Students: Win Up to ₦150,000

Hope Behind Bars Africa (HBBA) is putting young voices at the center of the fight against online abuse with its new #MyImageMyRight Challenge. The campaign is designed to give Nigerian students a powerful platform to speak up about digital safety, human rights, and justice — all in just two minutes.

What Is the #MyImageMyRight Challenge?

This isn’t your typical social media contest. HBBA is calling on students to use creativity — from skits, spoken word, drama, music, or even storytelling — to raise awareness about:

  • The risks of sharing intimate images without consent
  • The dangers of revenge porn and cyber harassment
  • Tech-based gender violence
  • Nigerian laws such as the Cybercrimes Act, VAPP Act, and Data Protection Act
  • How breaking these laws can lead to arrest or detention

The idea? To mix fun, creativity, and boldness with real legal lessons that matter.

Who Can Join?

  • Students in Nigerian tertiary institutions
  • Age bracket: 15 to 24 years
  • Passionate about justice, fairness, and human rights

Why It Matters

So, if you’re creative, bold, and ready to make your voice count, now’s your moment. Two minutes could earn you a spotlight — and possibly ₦150,000. Lights, camera… action!
