About the Role of the Registrar:
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer at GOUNI, reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering a structured workforce. The Registrar also serves as the Secretary to the University Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Registrar:
- A Second-Class Lower Division degree or higher in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- A higher degree is an added advantage.
- Membership in a professional body is mandatory.
- At least 15 years of experience in university administration, with a minimum of three years as a Deputy Registrar or Deputy Director.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational ability, and computer literacy.
- Applicants should be physically and mentally fit, and not older than 60 years of age.
Librarian Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science for Librarians.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS), BA, B.Sc, or LLB for Assistant Librarians.
- Strong ICT skills are essential for both positions.
