The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has announced the opening of online hostel booking for students enrolled in medical-based programmes, according to an official notice released by the university’s Students’ Affairs Division on December 15, 2025.
The development offers eligible students an early opportunity to secure on-campus accommodation ahead of the academic session—provided they meet all registration requirements.
Who Is Eligible?
The hostel booking exercise is strictly for students who are properly registered in the following programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Pharmacy
- Nursing Science
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Human Anatomy
- Human Physiology
University officials stressed that only students who have paid their full 2025/2026 registration fees will be allowed to participate.
Booking Date, Time and How to Apply
Hostel booking will commence on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at exactly 11:00 a.m.
To apply, eligible students should:
- Visit the official FUTMINNA website
- Log in to the student portal
- Select an available bed space
- Complete online payment
Students are advised to follow each step carefully to avoid errors that could affect their booking.
Important Payment Rules
FUTMINNA warned that:
- Any bed space booked without payment will be automatically cancelled if payment is not completed within 48 hours.
- After successful payment, students must print the hostel payment receipt generated online.
- The printed receipt must be taken to the Bursary Unit for confirmation.
Fraud Alert: No Cash Payments
The university issued a strong warning to both students and parents:
Do not pay hostel fees to any staff member or fellow student.
All hostel payments must be made only through the approved online portal. FUTMINNA says this measure is aimed at preventing fraud and protecting students from financial loss.
