FUPRE Announces Supplementary Post UTME for 2025/2026 — See Eligibility, Courses, and How to Apply

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), has officially announced the commencement of its supplementary Post UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. This is an opportunity for candidates who either missed the first screening or recently switched their preferred institution to FUPRE.

About FUPRE

Established in 2007 and legally backed in 2017, FUPRE holds the record as Africa’s first petroleum university and the sixth of its kind in the world. Strategically located in Effurun, Delta State—Nigeria’s oil hub—the university is dedicated to producing top talents in petroleum, energy, science, technology, and related fields.


Who Can Apply?

Not all candidates are eligible, but here’s the breakdown:

  • Candidates who registered earlier but missed the initial screening.
  • UTME candidates who scored 170 and above in the 2025 exams.
  • Candidates who recently changed their choice of institution to FUPRE.

In addition, applicants must:

  • Possess at least five O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.
  • Ensure that their UTME subject combinations match their chosen courses.

Direct Entry Guidelines

Direct Entry applicants are also welcome, but only with recognized certificates from NUC, NBTE, or NCCE. However, admission is currently closed for the following courses:

  • Administration and Management Sciences
  • Microbiology
  • Biochemistry
  • Petroleum Chemistry

College of Science (B.Sc.)

  • Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Geology, Petroleum Chemistry, Microbiology, and more.

College of Engineering & Technology (B.Eng.)

  • Petroleum, Mechanical, Marine, Civil, and Computer Engineering.

College of Maritime & Offshore Studies (B.Sc.)

  • Maritime Transport, Maritime Economics, and Finance.

College of Computing (B.Sc.)

  • Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science.

College of Petroleum Administration & Management (B.Sc.)

  • Logistics, Procurement, Petroleum Information, Entrepreneurship.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are to follow these steps carefully:

  1. Visit the official admissions portal: admissions portal
  2. Generate an invoice and pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000.
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number and fill out the application form.
  4. Create a secure password for future logins.
  5. Use your JAMB-linked phone number for authentication.
  6. Submit and print out the confirmation page.

Important Note: Candidates who fail to complete the registration will not be screened.
