FUOYE Joins Forces With Microsoft, UNICEF, and Ekiti Govt to Empower Female Students Through AI and Digital Skills

In a groundbreaking move to advance digital empowerment among women, the Centre for Gender Studies at Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced a strategic partnership with QEDA, UNICEF, Microsoft, and the Ekiti State Ministry of Education to launch a transformative initiative tagged “Partnership of Earning (P2E)” for female students.

This initiative aims to bridge the gender gap in tech by providing free virtual training in Digital Literacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout the month of November.

Training Designed for the Future

The P2E programme will focus on empowering FUOYE’s female students with cutting-edge AI and digital skills that align with global opportunities in the digital economy. Participants will undergo intensive training in AI Foundation and Generative AI, facilitated by experts from the Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA) team.

According to the organizers, the training will be conducted virtually, allowing participants to join sessions from their mobile phones, laptops, or any digital device—making it easily accessible to all students, regardless of their location.

Certification Backed by Global Partners

At the end of the training, successful participants will receive internationally recognized certificates authorized by Microsoft, UNICEF, and the Federal Ministry of Education—a valuable credential for any aspiring female professional in the tech industry.
