  • First degree with at least Third Class, OR
  • HND with Lower Credit in a related field
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
  • Five O’ Level credits, including:
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Three relevant subjects

Special Provision – Centre for Safety Management

Applicants with strong professional experience in:

  • Occupational safety
  • Process safety
  • Workplace safety

…or holders of recognised safety certifications may be considered for the PGD even if their first degree is in another field, provided it aligns with safety-related disciplines.

2. Master’s Degrees (Academic and Professional)

All Master’s programmes include coursework and are available as full-time or part-time.

Duration:

  • Full-time: 4–6 semesters
  • Part-time: 6–11 semesters

Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Division, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree + relevant PGD (with at least Credit)
  • Third Class degree + relevant PGD
  • Unclassified degree with C grade / 50% and above
  • Candidates may take a qualifying test
  • Five O’ Level credits including English and Mathematics
  • NYSC discharge/exemption

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Biology & Genomics

Offered under the Global Institute for Infectious Diseases Control.

Entry Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a Senate-recognised Nigerian university in:

  • Medicine
  • Pharmacy
  • Medical Laboratory Science
  • Nursing
  • Microbiology
  • Biochemistry
  • Related fields

Minimum qualification:

  • Second Class Lower, OR
  • Upper Credit PGD in Microbiology from FULOKOJA or any Senate-approved institution

Master’s Programmes – Centre for Safety Management

Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Environmental Sciences
    • Physical Sciences
    • Health Sciences

  • OR PGD in:
    • Safety
    • Environmental Management
    • Risk Management
    • Other safety/environment disciplines

  • At least two years of safety-related professional experience (desirable)

Master’s Programmes – Institute for Gender Studies (IGS)

Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Lower in:
    • Gender Studies
    • Social Sciences
    • Humanities
    • Related fields
  • Relevant work experience in gender advocacy is an added advantage.

3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Duration:

  • Minimum: 6 semesters
  • Maximum: 10 semesters

PhD candidates may take additional coursework and must complete a thesis.

Entry Requirements:

  • A good academic Master’s degree with:
    • CGPA ≥ 4.0/5, OR
    • CGPA ≥ 3.0/4
  • OR M.Phil. in a related field
