The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has officially opened applications for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programmes are offered through the College of Professional and Continuing Studies (CPCS) and are designed to equip graduates and professionals with advanced, career-focused skills across multiple disciplines.

According to the university, all interested candidates must apply online and carefully follow the approved application process as outlined by the College.


Available Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes

The following PGD programmes are available for the 2025/2026 session:

  • PGDCHE – Community Health Education
  • PGDEH – Environmental Health
  • PGDIM – Information Management
  • PGDMC – Sports Management and Coaching
  • Procurement
  • Security and Strategic Studies
  • Professional Diploma in Procurement
  • PGDE – Postgraduate Diploma in Education

Entry Requirements (Programme-by-Programme)

PGDCHE – Community Health Education

Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Community Health or related science courses such as Public Health, Microbiology, Parasitology, Entomology, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Statistics from a recognised university; OR
  • An HND (Upper Credit) in a public health-related discipline plus at least five (5) years relevant work experience in a supervisory or executive healthcare role.

O’Level Requirements:
Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science.

Duration:

  • 2 semesters

PGDIM – Information Management

Eligible candidates include those with:

  • Third Class Degree in Library Science
  • Degree in any discipline
  • HND in any discipline

All applicants must meet the required O’Level qualifications.

Duration:

  • 2 semesters

PGDMC – Sports Management and Coaching

Applicants must have any of the following:

  1. An Honours Degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education (minimum of Second Class Lower).
  2. An Honours Degree in a relevant science discipline (minimum of Second Class Lower) plus a PGDE (Credit level).
  3. A Third Class Degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education with at least two years relevant work experience.

Additional Notes:

  • Candidates may undergo a test and/or interview.
  • Applicants must meet SSCE matriculation requirements and present evidence of NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate.

Duration:

  • 2 semesters

PGDE – Postgraduate Diploma in Education

  • Degree in any discipline
  • HND in any discipline

Duration:

  • 2 semesters

Where the PGD Programmes Are Offered

All PGD programmes run at:

  • FUDMA University Campus, and
  • Kano Study Centre

Applicants are advised to select their preferred study centre carefully during the application process, as changes may not be allowed later.

Application Fee

  • ₦15,000 only
  • The fee is non-refundable

How to Apply for FUDMA CPCS PGD Programmes

Step 1: Create an Account

Visit the FUDMA CPCS application portal  and register using a valid email address and phone number.

Step 2: Generate Invoice and Pay

Log in to generate a payment invoice and complete payment using the available payment options.

Step 3: Verify Payment

After payment, return to the portal to verify the transaction.

Step 4: Check Your Email

An email will be sent containing application guidelines and instructions for setting up your password.

Step 5: Complete the Application

Log in, carefully fill out the application form, and upload a recent passport photograph.

Once completed successfully, applicants can monitor their admission status online.
