Federal Polytechnic Ayede Sets Dates for Maiden Convocation, Diplomas to Be Awarded Feb 12
Federal Polytechnic Ayede has officially announced the full schedule for its combined maiden convocation ceremony, marking a historic milestone for the institution as it prepares to award National Diplomas, prizes, and fellowship honours to deserving graduands and distinguished Nigerians.
The week-long convocation programme will run from Sunday, February 8 to Friday, February 13, 2026, with the main convocation ceremony holding on Thursday, February 12, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the Polytechnic’s Permanent Site in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The institution has also declared all convocation programme dates as public events.

Important Information for Graduands
Convocation Fee
All graduands are required to pay a convocation fee of ₦40,000 (Forty Thousand Naira only) as part of the graduation process.
How to Pay via Remita
Payments should be made through the Remita payment portal (remita.net) using the following details:

Collection of Academic Gowns and Invitation Cards
Upon presenting proof of payment, graduands are to collect their academic gowns and guest invitation cards from their respective school offices between Monday, February 2 and Monday, February 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
Return of Gowns and Penalties
Graduands must return complete academic robes on or before Monday, February 17, 2026.
Failure to do so will attract a late return penalty of ₦1,000 per day, calculated from the day after the deadline.
Conduct at the Convocation Ground
The Polytechnic has emphasized that the convocation ceremony is a solemn academic exercise. Consequently, movement in and out of the convocation venue will not be permitted once the ceremony begins.
