The recruitment covers three major cadres, from top professionals to junior support roles.
Category A – Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Corrections (Medical Doctor) – NCOS only
- Requirement: MBBS
- Salary Grade: CONMESS 02
- Assistant Superintendent I – FFS only
- Requirement: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Water, Chemical) or Law
- Salary Grade: CONPASS 09
- Assistant Superintendent II – NIS, FFS, NSCDC
- Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or HND
- Salary Grade: CONPASS 08
Category B – Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector – NCOS, FFS, NSCDC
- Requirement: Registered Nurse, Midwife or both
- Salary Grade: CONHESS 06
- Assistant Inspector
- Requirement: NCE or ND from a recognized institution
- Salary Grade: CONPASS 06
Category C – Assistant Cadre
- Assistant II (General Duty)
- Requirement: SSCE, NECO, GCE with 5 credits (incl. English & Maths in max 2 sittings) or Trade Test Grade II
- Salary Grade: CONPASS 04
- Assistant III (Drivers, Artisans, Operators)
- Requirement: 4 O’Level credits or Trade Test Grade III
- Salary Grade: CONPASS 03
Who Can Apply?
Before you rush to apply, make sure you meet these mandatory conditions:
- You must be Nigerian by birth
- You must possess the relevant educational qualifications
- You must be physically and mentally fit (proof from a government hospital required)
- Good conduct: No criminal record, cult involvement, drug use, or fraud
- Age: 18 to 35 years
- Minimum height: Men – 1.65m; Women – 1.60m
- Men must have at least 0.87m chest measurement
- Computer literacy is a major advantage
