EKSU Warns Public About Fraudulent Pharmacy Admission Advertisement
Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has issued a warning to the public about a misleading online advertisement regarding its Pharmacy programme. The university clarified that it has not yet begun the admission process for the 2024/2025 academic session in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
What’s Really Happening with EKSU’s Pharmacy Programme?
According to EKSU’s management, the university is still in the process of establishing the Pharmacy programme. A team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) recently visited EKSU for a resource verification exercise, but the results of the visit are still pending. As of now, the programme has not been approved, and any advertisement claiming otherwise is false.
Illegal Advertisements: A Growing Concern
EKSU also stressed that advertising a programme that hasn’t been approved by the NUC is illegal. The university firmly stated that it does not engage in such activities and remains committed to operating within the law.
A Word of Caution to Parents, Guardians, and Students
In its official statement, EKSU urged parents, guardians, and prospective students to ignore the fraudulent advertisement and be wary of scammers who prey on innocent candidates. The university emphasized that all official announcements, including information about academic programmes, are only made through its verified channels.
How to Stay Informed
EKSU reassured the public that it will provide accurate and up-to-date information through its official platforms. The university remains dedicated to transparency and will continue to communicate only approved details regarding admissions and academic programmes.
